Embracing the Spirit of the Rodeo

There’s an enduring charm in a local rodeo, a tradition that beckons families and friends to return year after year. It’s a place where you chase the signatures of rodeo royalty, share tales with neighbors in the stands, and find your voice hoarse from cheering. The nights end with tired feet from dancing, but these moments weave into the community’s very essence. The arena may be the same, under the same sky, but the magic is in the community’s passion that brings the rodeo to life.

The Roots of Tradition

Gilbert’s connection to ranching and rodeo dates back many years, but it was in 1978 that local ranchers and entrepreneurs united to preserve Gilbert’s Western legacy. This vision led to the creation of the Gilbert Promotional Corporation (GPC), which has been the backbone of the cherished Gilbert Days Rodeo for nearly half a century.

Run entirely by volunteers, the GPC is dedicated to celebrating family values and the spirit of the West, while also supporting the Town of Gilbert through community projects. At the heart of these efforts is the eagerly awaited Gilbert Days Rodeo.

Once known as the “Hay Shipping Capital of the World,” Gilbert, Arizona has evolved from a quiet farming town into a bustling suburban community. Despite this transformation, Gilbert remains committed to its agricultural roots by hosting one of Arizona’s most beloved rodeos, the Gilbert Days Rodeo.

A Journey Through Tradition

My journey with the Gilbert Days Rodeo began as the Rodeo Princess in 2011 and later as the Rodeo Queen in 2017. These roles were more than titles; they were a way of life. From countless hours at the rodeo park to the thrill of Thursday night barrel racing, these experiences shaped my upbringing and instilled a deep sense of pride and community spirit.
