Topeka SWAT Team Enhances Skills with Cutting-Edge Technology
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – On Tuesday, the Topeka Police Department’s SWAT team engaged in a dynamic training session, incorporating innovative technology to refine their strategies.
Training in Action at SW Mission
The team gathered at a residence located in the 1700 block of SW Mission, where both seasoned officers and newcomers participated in a series of tactical drills. This exercise provided a valuable learning experience for all involved, regardless of their level of experience.
Introducing the Uni-Pro Robot Dog
A highlight of the training was the deployment of a Uni-Pro robot dog, outfitted with advanced Axon camera technology. This device enables the team to visually inspect the interior of a building, capture footage, and even communicate through the robot. According to the team, this state-of-the-art tool is expected to significantly enhance their ability to achieve peaceful outcomes during operations.
