Eastern Plumas Health Care Collaborates with Senior Life Solutions for Enhanced Mental Health Support

Eastern Plumas Health Care has teamed up with Senior Life Solutions to offer specialized support for older adults facing mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety, which are often linked to aging. This innovative program is now available at the Portola Medical Clinic, located at 500 First Ave. in Portola.

Comprehensive Mental Health Services for Seniors

Senior Life Solutions is dedicated to providing outpatient care tailored to the unique needs of individuals aged 65 and above. The program focuses on enhancing mental well-being through group and individual therapy, psychiatric assessments, and medication management. The team comprises a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, a registered nurse, and other professionals committed to supporting the emotional health of seniors in the community.

Empowering Seniors for a Healthier Life

“Our Senior Life Solutions program offers evidence-based treatments that have been shown to significantly improve the mental health of older adults,” stated Kathleen McCoy, the program director. “Many seniors mistakenly believe that depression is an inevitable part of aging, but it doesn’t have to be. This program is designed to help you lead a more fulfilling and joyful life.”
