Juno’s Remarkable Encounter with Io

On December 30, 2023, NASA’s Juno spacecraft made a significant flyby of Jupiter’s moon Io, capturing some of the most intricate images of its volcanic terrain. These images have been recognized as NASA’s Science Image of the Month for October 2025.
